I started working as secretary in Swisscontact back in 1993. Swisscontact gave me the opportunity to excel; following the requirement of my former boss, I studied accounting thanks to a full scholarship. This enabled me to act as accountant in our first small office in La Paz, within the Skills Development Institute INFOCAL. In 1999, Swisscontact centralised its operations in Bolivia, we hired a larger office in La Paz and the organisation began to grow. Each working day is a new experience for me; I always learn new things. To my understanding, mutual confidence is our most important work agreement. This allows me to do my job complying with the values of Swisscontact. The organisation and its senior staff have always appreciated my efforts to fulfil my tasks, and this is a strong motivation. I like working at Swisscontact, because its projects contribute to generating opportunities for the people to improve their lives, both in the private and in the working sphere.
